Blood Wellness Testing
Blood Wellness Testing
Equipping Physicians
Our laboratory’s testing panels give a detailed analysis of disease markers, nutrients and waste products in the blood, as well as key information on how various organs are functioning.
All Specimen Types
Our technicians and phlebotomists cover the full spectrum, collecting three different specimens depending on the type of test requested: Whole Blood, Plasma and Serum.
Treating Abnormalities
Abnormal results often necessitate additional tests to establish a diagnosis. Once the physician can make a definitive diagnosis, appropriate treatment can be initiated.
Full Team Support
We support medical office staff on all elements of the Blood Testing program. Our team assists in material orders, in-office sample reading, shipping and interpretation of results.
Blood Allergy Testing
Blood Allergy Testing
About Allergy Tests
Blood allergy tests detect and measure the amount of allergen-specific antibodies in the blood.

Allergy blood tests may be referred to as immunoassay tests and include: Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA, or EIA) or Radio allergosorbent test (RAST).
Screening for Triggers
The ELISA test measures the amount of allergen-specific antibodies in your blood.

Allergy blood tests usually screen for at least 10 of the most common allergy triggers including dust, pest dander, trees, grass, weeds, and molds related to where you live.
Food Allergies
They are also particularly
helpful in diagnosing food allergies.

A blood test can measure your immune system’s response to particular foods by checking the amount of allergy-type antibodies in your bloodstream.

Genetic Testing
Genetic Testing
The study of patients' individual reactions to medications based on their genes is known as pharmacogenetics (PGX).

PGX testing allows physicans to understand the genetic traits that influence the effectiveness of routine pharmaceutical therapies.
PGX Reporting
Our one-time test provides key information that patients can use for life. It allows doctors to prescribe the right medications and significantly reduce side affects and undesirable adverse reactions.

Doctors receive easy-to-read reports specific to each patient.
Carrier Testing
Genetic Carrier Testing is a genetic test for women and men of reproductive age who are planning to start or grow their family.

The test can identify patients who are “carriers” for devastating genetic diseases. These may include the following:
Disease Prevention
Cystic fibrosis, spinal muscular atrophy, sickle-cell anemia and Tay-Sachs, glycogen storage disease, Usher Syndrome, Niemann Pick disease and more

Genetic carrier testing uses the latest genetic sequencing technology. With 1st Remedy, doctors can screen for and possibly prevent over 60 serious diseases.
